The 3100™ is a cinematic exploration of Idaho’s 3,100 miles of navigable whitewater, the most found anywhere in the Lower 48. This film showcases the state’s most rugged and revered whitewater river systems while highlighting the power of experiencing wild places at any age. Through the voices of those who know these rivers best, this film reveals the transformative power of Idaho’s whitewater rivers.

Mark Fisher is an award-winning director, director of photography, photographer, and producer known for powerful storytelling across documentary, commercial, and fine-art work that drives positive change. As an athlete, former international mountain guide, and founder and CEO of Fisher Creative, his career spans from leading and documenting history’s most comprehensive scientific expedition to Mount Everest for National Geographic, to directing international commercials for companies such as CBS, to producing marketing and branded content in over 50 countries on six continents.
A member of the National Geographic Photo Society, Mark’s photography has appeared in over 100 publications worldwide and was featured in Gail Buckland’s book and museum exhibition Who Shot Sports, chronicling history’s most iconic sports imagery. His films—such as A Rally for Rangers and Myanmar: Bridges to Change—have won awards at dozens of top festivals including Banff, Wild & Scenic, and New Zealand Mountain Film Festival. He’s also been honored with Communications Arts Awards and as a Fulbright Scholar.
In 2024, while filming a National Geographic documentary with Erich Roepke and Jimmy Chin, Mark helped discover the partial remains of Andrew “Sandy” Irvine on Everest, a major clue in one of mountaineering’s greatest mysteries.
