As she faces terminal illness and a bitter divorce, a mother sets out to find a new wife for her unreliable husband, hoping to secure a stable future for their young twin daughters, only to discover that true redemption lies in healing their broken family in the time they have left.

Submitter Statement

I’ve spent years filming weddings, perfect images of love, but beneath those polished exteriors, I’ve always been fascinated by what’s unsaid, what’s fragile. With Viv + Eddie, I want to peel back the veneer and show the beauty, humour, and heartbreak of real family life.

Viv + Eddie is a story about a family in crisis, but cinematically it’s also a warm, immersive, deeply human experience. My hope is that audiences leave not just laughing and crying, but really asking themselves: what makes life meaningful?

Andi Watson is a writer/director based in St Andrews, Scotland. He has a degree in English Literature from the University of Glasgow and has spent the last 15 years running his own photography & videography company. His feature-length script ‘Viv + Eddie’ has placed in several competitions as well as winning ‘Best 1st Time Screenwriter’ at the Cannes World Film Festival and ‘Best Original Screenplay’ at the Beyond Borders International Film Festival.

Andi lives with his wife and 4 children.
