"Drowning in Sickness" is a deeply personal and investigative documentary that follows filmmaker Jane Box as she travels across the United States to uncover the impact of molecular hydrogen water on human health. Through candid interviews with medical doctors, integrative health practitioners, and everyday families, the film reveals what happens when people are introduced to this underrecognized but scientifically validated wellness tool. Many of the subjects faced chronic health challenges, debilitating conditions, and emotional exhaustion before discovering this unique form of hydration. Rather than focusing on what’s wrong with water across the country, this documentary centers on what’s possible—when people gain access to a technology that supports the body’s healing at the cellular level. Backed by emerging science and powerful personal testimonies, "Drowning in Sickness" invites audiences to reimagine what water can do—and why it might just be the key to a new future in health.

Submitter Statement
I created this documentary because my own life—and my family’s health—radically shifted after we began drinking molecular hydrogen water. We didn’t change our diet overnight, we didn’t move, and we didn’t take on an entirely new protocol. We changed our water. And everything followed. "Drowning in Sickness" isn’t about fear or statistics—it’s about stories. Real people. Real doctors. Real families who were told there were no more options and then found something that changed everything. As I traveled across the country filming this, what struck me most was the common thread: exhaustion, confusion, and hopelessness—transformed into peace, clarity, and vitality. This isn’t magic. It’s science. But it’s science that hasn’t reached the mainstream yet. My mission is to help people question what they’ve been told is “normal,” and discover that there’s another path—one that begins with the most basic element we so often take for granted: water.
Jane Box is a wellness entrepreneur, mother, and passionate truth-seeker who turned her family’s health crisis into a mission to educate and empower others. After years of unanswered medical challenges and emotional exhaustion, Jane discovered the power of molecular hydrogen water—and saw firsthand the transformation it sparked in her children, her health, and her life. With a background in business and a over 15 years in entrepreneurship, Jane brings a unique perspective to storytelling: grounded in science, driven by heart. "Drowning in Sickness" is her directorial debut—a film created not for applause, but for impact. Her mission is to give a voice to stories that might otherwise go untold, and to help families everywhere realize that healing is possible—often in places no one’s looking.
