Faced with constant rejection, an ambitious actor finds himself drawn into a strange venue for one last chance at stardom.

Submitter Statement
One Night Only is a movie rooted in fear. Within all of us there is a great deal of fear, a paranoia about how we’re perceived. By contrast, movie characters are often fearless and uninhibited, aided by their strong moral code. Rules they absolutely will not break. They tend to be honest and clear of intention, and common wisdom says that these are the things that constitute a compelling story. When Johnny Barden and I set out to write One Night Only, these qualities could not be further from our minds. We wanted to sow discomfort and anxiety, to raise burning questions in the viewer's mind that we refused to answer. The goal was to tell a story that reflected fears that we'd seen in ourselves and in others. The result is a movie that functions also as an experience: an hour-plus odyssey into the dark.
It’s a whirlwind trip through a place you have never been, and may never be again.
I hope you enjoy the ride.
