This documentary was shot at the George A. Romero Filmmaking Program, with special effects by Tom Savini's Special Make-up Effects Program. The story involves iconic zombie extras from the original Dawn and Day of the Dead who, decades later, find themselves in demand at Pop Culture Comicons. We chase down these zombies to see why these early Romero films resonate so much with fans. Meanwhile, the crew shooting this film set out on a horrifying adventure of their own.

Mike Ancas is an American Director, Producer, Actor, Writer and Musician. A graduate of Duquesne University (BA Psychology), University of Pittsburgh (MSW and PhD/ABD in Counseling Psychology), he is best known for Tributaries (feature-length drama) and Chasing Giants (car racing documentary), both are featured on Amazon Prime. His new film, Chasing Zombies, is based on his experience on the set of George A. Romero's 1985 cult classic, Day Of The Dead, and follows the lives of fellow "zombies" who recount how working with George Romero changed their lives.
